Reporting to the Supervisor, International Projects, this position will support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Global Operations department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  1. Coordinate the building of volunteer outreach teams: Wheels for the World™ and International Family Retreat programs
    1. Assess volunteers through interviews and required documentation
    2. Equip volunteers via resource material provision
  2. Cultivate ongoing relationships with international outreach volunteers and team leaders
    1. Communicates with team members before and after outreach
    2. Updates volunteer records
  3. Work with current travel management agency
    1. Prepare team travel arrangements
    2. Review and confirm arrangements with volunteers, team leaders and in-country partners
  4. Collaborate with Administrative Analyst and Projects Administrator to assist in financial reconciliation of international projects
  5. Coordinate in the facilitation, measurement, and growth of international projects
    1. Communicate with Joni and Friends in-country partners
    2. Provide resource material to in-country partners
    3. Input post-event statistics in Salesforce to maintain project records
  6. Travel for 1-3 international trips per year
    1. Train team leaders
    2. Lead international teams
    3. Ensure quality control initiatives
  7. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • Minimum 2 years of coordinator or related experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented, committed to accuracy, a proactive team player who is flexible and able to work independently
  • Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
  • Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Salesforce or other CRM platform, and the Internet
  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation for the position is $23.00 - $24.00 per hour (non-exempt). This position is at our Agoura Hills office and we have a hybrid schedule (Mon, Tue and Thu in the office, Wed and Fri remote).
